2012 Miss Black Louisiana USA Talented Teen Pageant

Miss Black Louisiana USA is pleased to announce the first official contestant for the Miss Black Louisiana USA Talented Teen Scholarship Pageant. Miss Tori Turner will be vying to become Miss Black Louisiana USA Talented Teen 2012. She will compete in the following categories: Fitness, Talent, Evening Gown, and On-Stage Question. The pageant will take place on November 12 in Baton Rouge. The Louisiana State Police Training Academy will host the competition. Billboard recording artist, Rantz Davis, will be this year’s featured entertainment and the theme is “I Am Woman” – Theme Song By: Jordin Sparks!”

If Crowned: My platform would be to continue to promote the vision that God has given me through my foundation (Tori Turner’s D.R.E.A.M. BIG Foundation). My vision is to have an impact on other children by promoting that you can D.R.E.A.M. BIG dreams and if you truly BELIEVE in that D.R.E.A.M. and in yourself, anything you D.R.E.A.M. can come true, just take the first steps to get there, believe and have faith. “The journey of a thousand miles begins with one single step.” My mission is to provide yearly scholarships to assist parents in offsetting the cost of helping their child reach his/her D.R.E.A.M.S!

Miss Black Louisiana USA (MBL) is an advocate of scholastic achievement and truly believes that education is the primary key to success. MBL helps identify scholarship and funding opportunities to help women of color to pursue their higher educational goals, while maintaining a healthy financial status through financial literacy. The organization promotes a pageant that allows women of color the opportunity to display their beauty, talents and accomplishments. The pageant also offers scholarships to its winners.
